Constructeam at Flipo Marc’s Winery in Clinton Township
As a member of the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce, Constructeam often attends or gets involved with a number of the events they host, whether it’s a Young Professionals (#YoPros) after work event or our weekly Business Resource Alliance Group (BRAG) meeting.
The chamber does a great job not just putting on these events, but using them to help people and businesses to come together to network, learn, and grow. Anyone who participates and really puts in the effort to get involved sees a significant return, not just in their business revenue, but in their personal growth and development as well.
Last night (Wednesday, September 18th, 2018), Constructeam attended the #YoPros event at Filipo Marc Winery in Clinton Township, hosted by the owner Gerard Giacona, and catered by Stephanie Mittelstedt with Vintage House in Fraser. Constructeam was represented by Adam Dunlap, their Director of Marketing.
The event was from 6pm to 8pm, and was provided free of charge to members of the Sterling Heights Chamber of Commerce. Attendees were provided with samples of up to a dozen types of wine, varying from very sweet to very dry. All of the wine is produced right here in Clinton Township at Filipo Marc’s facility, and it is all sulfate-free, gluten-free, and according to Adam Dunlap – delicious. It’s all delicious.
While sampling, Gerard was providing insights about the history of wine, ideal pairings with various cheeses, chocolates, and other foods, and many other pro tips such as using frozen fruit and berries to chill your wine rather than ice. This prevents watering down the wine and diluting the flavor, while also leaving you with a tasty fruit snack once your glass is empty.
Filipo Marc’s and Vintage House provided a wide selection of cheeses, crackers, sausages, and other food pairings to go with the wine. Attendees were able to get the full wine tasting experience, all while networking with business owners and representatives from all types of industries.
Without question, this was yet another example of a fantastic networking event hosted by the Sterling Heights Chamber of Commerce. Everyone who attended had a great time, learned a little bit about the wine industry, and was provided with a tremendous opportunity to meet new people and expand their business network.
If you’re located in the Macomb County area and you are not a member of the Sterling Heights Chamber of Commerce, you should absolutely look into joining.
