Can charred wood be cleaned, or does it have to be replaced?
If the charring has compromised the structural integrity or if the odor is too deep, the wood must be replaced. We perform “Ice Blasting” for light charring and full replacement for structural members.
Will my insurance pay for upgrades?
Insurance pays to restore your home to its “pre-loss” condition. However, the reconstruction phase is the most cost-effective time to pay for the “difference” for higher-end finishes or layout changes.
Do I need a structural engineer?
